    Join us for the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Trivia Night to showcase your knowledge and talents through song, dance, and other artistic expressions. Spend the evening building and connect with artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, and many community members and leaders affiliated with the @southdallasculturalcenter @we_lofe and the visionary behind @thenation_network your host @brittnation

  • June 15: “No Church in the Wild” Solo Exhibition by Mandla Senanje and Artist Talk at Sundance Square @ 1 pm

    Upcoming artist talk featuring solo exhibition artist Mandla Senzanje, in conversation with María Elena Ortiz of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

    Join us to learn about Mandla’s body of work and artistic practice, as well as the significance of the upcoming Juneteenth holiday to Fort Worth and the art community.

  • June 15: “I Still Ain’t Got No 40 Acres and Where’s the Damn Mule” Solo Exhibition by Frank Fraizer and Artist Talk

    Join @frankfrazier_official and @emmanuelgillespiema for a Juneteenth Artist Talk in conjunction with Frank Frazier’s “I Still Ain’t Got No 40 Acres, and Where’s the Damn Mule?” solo exhibition on June 15th at 1pm.

    Join us at Legacy Hall in the Lexus Box Garden for a special 3rd Annual Juneteenth fashion experience celebrating Black Excellence and Historical Legends, benefiting the National Juneteenth Museum! Legacy West proudly celebrates the historical, influential, and current contributions of the African American community for its third annual Juneteenth fashion show and experience produced by Think Three Media.

  • June 21: Music Lounge featuring Salako at South Dallas Cultural Center

    Join us for our community concert this month featuring @salakomusic
    Salako Music is a singer-songwriter based in Dallas, Texas. Salako’s lyrics are playful and alluring while exploring elements of spirituality. Salako’s love for the arts grew while studying dance with the Beckley Center, W. E. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy and the legendary Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. However due to injuries she began to pursue her singing career. Her creativity expands from motherhood as a creator of two to being featured as a musician. Salako Music has been featured for So Far Sounds, countless community festivals and was a NPR’s Top Shelf pick for Tiny Desk.

    First 20 seats are free with registration with limited seating available. $10 suggested donation, PWYC, no one turned away due to lack of funds. Walk-ins are welcome but priority will be given to registrants while others will be waitlisted.
